·         Choose the right platform - Ensure you have the proper surface to iron. A professional ironing board is recommended since it would have the right amount of padding & support. If required, try to get additional support from the table to ensure that ironed segment of your long edges should not lie under the board.

·         Your iron must be clean - Try to ensure that the sole plate of the iron is clean to avoid any stains. It would be better if you use an used cloth prior to applying it on the actual product.

·         Get the preferred fancy shape – if you intend to get a fancy shape or DIY folds for your favorite cotton napkins or table cloths try applying little starch & use hot iron to get the right amount of crispness.
